A DAY TO REMEMBER AT THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM
We arrive at 11.30 am meeting in the main building café area. There is plenty of parking although you do have to pay either £5 if you book in advance at www.thenma.org.uk, or £8 if you pay on the day. There is disabled parking which, again, you can book via their website, subject to availability.
On arrival we will enjoy a coffee and a bun or even a spot of early lunch if you prefer, before adventuring out into this beautiful and inspiring place, the 150 acres of Arboretum form a living landscape, a home for 400 memorials waiting to be discovered, in memory of our Armed Forces and Emergency Services.
At 1.00 pm we will be taking the road train which will tell you all about the this magnificent Estate. After that you are free to do your own thing, with farewells back in café at about 4.30 pm.
The address is the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Road, Alrewas, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire DE13 7AR
Remember this is a low cost event where it is free to get in and £7 person for the road train. All other expenses are down to you.
