Drumming out of Jeff Evans – 14th to 17th January 2027
Coventry – A medieval powerhouse, the birthplace of the British motor industry and a city of peace an reconciliation. Our base for the weekend is the Telegraph Hotel – once the home of the Coventry Telegraph newspaper.
On Thursday evening, enjoy dinner with a murder mystery twist at the Hotel.
Friday sees us boarding a coach and travelling to the University of Warwick where our hosts at Warwick Manufacturing Group will introduce us to the latest innovations in battery technologies, electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and student groups constructing a racing car and a racing bike. Lunch will be at Warwick University. In the afternoon we will head for the Coventry Transport Museum. We then return to the hotel for the evening with dinner and all the fun of the fair!
Saturday sees us taking a short walk to Coventry Cathedral for a tour of the Cathedral and the ruins, with stories of the Blitz, peace and reconciliation. Lunch – TBC Bumblebee will be dry and will be held in the Winter Garden at the hotel.
Dinner will be held at Drapers Hall, a short walk from the hotel. This beautiful neo-classical Regency building will provide a superb venue for Jeff’s drumming out. Then finally, on Sunday morning we have the first event of Chris Edge’s year as Senate Chairman, with breakfast at the hotel.
