Ynys Mon
2nd October 2025 - 5th October 2025
The official programme will start on Thursday evening with a welcome dinner. On Friday we will experience The Best of Ynys Môn and on Saturday The Thrills and Sights of the Menai Strait will be our focus.
Price is £295 per person plus accommodation for the full package and £175 per person plus accommodation if joining on Friday night.
Our main hotel is the fairytale 5* Chateau Rhianfa between Beaumaris and Menai Bridge. There are also rooms reserved at The Bull’s Head Inn 2.8 miles away in Beaumaris and a refreshing 900 metre walk along the coast road is the Robinson’s Gazelle Hotel.
Friday 3rd October we will visit the National Trust’s Plas Newydd before having a scenic coach trip to Valley where we will enjoy local produce at Catch 22. After a relaxed lunch we will take the coast road to South Stack and the RSPB centre. The active ones will have a tour of the lighthouse while the others will relax and enjoy tea and cake in the RSPB Centre.
After an excellent breakfast Saturday will start with a guided tour of Beaumaris when you can learn all about the town’s history before Fish & Chips for lunch. We will then enjoy a Menai Strait, Bridge and Swillies boat trip – a fascinating and spectacular stretch of water steeped in history with beautiful scenery and wildlife.
Sunday there will be the option to have a leisurely morning at the hotel or enjoy the optional programme that will be developed to suit people’s preferences from the many options available. We will then Leisurely Head Homeward along the North Wales coast towards England and stop for lunch at the excellent Glasfryn before you continue your journey home.
If you have the time on Thursday there will be an On Our Way to Anglesey optional programme to explore North Wales starting with lunch (possibly The Dinorban Arms, Bodfari) for those that wish to explore the North Wales mainland before heading for the Isle of Anglesey.
For those coming from outside the UK a informal pre-tour can be organised if you would like a few more days in North Wales. Once I know who is coming I will look at the possibility of assisting with transport from Manchester Airport but there are regular trains to nearby Bangor and Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.
Priority for the main hotel will be given to those with a physical need and then those staying for 3 nights or more. The rooms will be allocated in strict sequence of receiving bookings AND your deposit payment. Please note that there are only 2 single rooms available at the lower rate in the main hotel although there are plenty of economical single rooms available in the Gazelle and Bulls Head.
A deposit of £100 per person will secure your room and full balances are due by 18th July.

Do not delay if you want to be sure of staying in the main hotel!
